Rising Atlanta Rapper "Marlo", Shot and Killed at 30.

"Rudolph Johnson", an up and coming local favorite, who came up alongside Lil Baby and Migos, was found dead after a highway shooting on Saturday night. This rising star was know by his artist name "Marlo" or "Lil Marlo".

Marlo was signed to Quality Control record label in 2017 and began to take off from there. He began making music relatively late in life, as opposed to many who start during their teenage years. Regardless, Marlo's work ethic spoke for itself as he quickly began to be recognized as one of hip-hop's newest big star. He's collaborated with Migos and his good friend and label-mate Lil Baby.

An excerpt from the New York Times notes that Lil Yachty said in an Instagram post [announcing Marlo’s death] that the two rappers had been recording on Friday night. “We just did a song [at] 4 this morning smh rip brother,” he wrote.

Marlo is survived by his mother, Santresa Maxey; his cousin, Denise Hill-Love, who helped raise him; and his two sons, R.J. and Marlo Jr. To read more on Rudolph Johnson aka "Marlo", check out this new article
