"The Morning Hustle" Show and "300 Entertainment" Launch “THE SONG” Contest!

Quarantine has been full of online challenges sweeping the nation in an attempt to offset the wave of sadness and depression as Covid-19 continues to effect the world. A new competition launched by Reach Media’s "The Morning Hustle" and "300 Entertainment" is now underway. The team is in search of an anthem that addresses the current climate and gives a voice to the independent artists. "The Song” contest encourages Independent Artists to use their art to promote change.


Radio One Vice President of Programming, Colby Tyner, recently announced the launch of “The Song” Contest, a music competition, presented by REACH Media’s show, The Morning Hustle and American record label 300 Entertainment.


“The Song” Contest is sponsored by McDonald’s Black and Positively Golden and was designed to be a platform for up-and-coming, independent artists to have an opportunity to create an anthem that talks about the current state of the nation. The team s goal is to create a sound track of the "Now", the "Present" through music.


Listeners may submit tracks to win a $5,000 cash prize and a distribution deal for the song on all streaming platforms, including Apple Music, Google Play and Spotify. The deadline for submissions is September 7, 2020.
