Michael B. Jordan Named 'Creed 3' Director

Michael B. Jordan is showing his versatility in Hollywood. He will now be directing the third installment of the Creed movie series! There have been rumors floating, but now it’s been officially confirmed by MGM. The film also has a projected release date, which is November 23, 2022.

MGM will be switching the writers around as well. Creed 3 will be written by Keenan Coogler and Zach Baylin. There's still no word on if Sylvester Stallone will return as Rocky, but the movie is still going to be based from the outlines of the original director, Ryan Coogler. Ryan will still be credited on this film as a producer. There has been rumors that he backed down because of his focus on bringing Black Panther 2 into creation. A task in itself without the star, Chadwick Boseman. So Jordan is willingly stepping into the role.

There's also been talk that Jordan is looking to enlist more professional boxers in the next movie. One person he had in mind is Former Heavy Weight Champ, Deontaye Wilder. "It's a cool idea," Jordan told TMZ. "Wilder is a good character as himself. That's one of the great things about Rocky films and Creed films. We try to bring real boxers into it at some point. So, you never know."

We're looking forward to the talented actor's directorial debut!
